Was very pleased with order handling and receiving of chair.Very easy to put together
I was excited when I first purchased this chair; it is very comfortable. However, after only 16 months the cylinder mechanism completely broke on it without warning. Hon sent me replacement parts, however, they did not fit the chair correctly because the model had been revamped since I purchased it (a fact I only discovered after researching it online!). Since they included no instructions with the replacement parts I had a hard time trying to figure out what needed to be taken apart. The bolts were attached so tightly that even my fiance who is built like a brick house struggled to get them off.
very comfortable...easy to adjust the seat height..wish i could adjust the back height which would allow me to control lumbar pressure too..
Nice chair, no real special features over any other $70-90 chairs.
Chair arrived early and in great condition.Assembly was easy and took about 30 minutes.The chair sits comfortably and looks more expensive than what it cost.The tilt feature is a real plus!I recommend this chair for any place where a comfortable desk type chair is needed.
worst problems are unpadded armrests (hurts my elbows) and foam pad seat. mesh back is great. foam will wear out. mesh is softer. adjustable: up/down, tilt back on/off and resistance level. rotate 360. 5 wheels. other cheap chairs had NO armrests, NO wheels, NO tilt, etc. so I am happy with my cheap chair. best chair is Herman Miller Aeron Lumbar. instructions warn against put your feet up on your desk, but I do it anyway. CAUTION: instructions say max load 250 lb. not for obese people. you are warned! I am very tall at 6'4. back still hurts but I like this chair.
I bought this chair in hopes of buying a good sturdy chair, and not have to pay very much for one.I got exactly what I wanted.
Aside from needing a work chair, one of the reasons I purchased this specific model was the "MADE IN USA" statement in the headline.The chair arrived in a box prominently labeled "Made in Taiwan" and on the metal seat base is also stamped, "Made in Taiwan."

Be aware that when they say tall, they mean tall. This chair is not really suitable for anyone shorter than around 6'1", and would probably work best for those over 6'3".I am 6'1", and my legs almost dangle off the edge at its lowest.Also, the padding is a bit stiff and not quite as generous nor as comfortable as advertised. It also has a fairly limited tilt, and the back is not adjustable.
Easy to assemble and by far the best chair I have ever owned.Remember to pull hard on the joystick to get the chair to move up or down; you will not break it!
This chair fell apart within 2 days. The assembly was a nightmare, the pieces did not fit together well and had to be forced, it ended up taking an hour and a half to get it put together, and the person assembling it for me is an engineer! within a day the plastic around the seat started to pull out revealing staples that cut my son's leg. I e-mailed the seller and I was told that they would not refund or exchange the chair, but said they would send me a "replacement part" like the plastic strip that had come loose. Because the original was attached with huge staples I would have had no way to replace the strip myself.
Chair doesn't seem to go down as far as my previous one. Also its one of those poorly designed chairs where the back of the chair is held to the base of the chair by the arms. I owned one with the same connection as this 2 chairs ago and the cheap plastic around the screw broke on one of the arms on the base end. Since that was the only thing holding the chair together the back dropped down on that side.
I did a lot of research before buying this chair, and now that I have it I am confident that I made the right choice by getting it.I was looking for an extremely comfortable and ergonomic chair, comfy enough that I could sit in the chair all day working at my computer (I'm a software developer).I shopped around at the usual office supply stores, and looked at a lot of cheapo chairs, and finally started looking online.I found that, of the better quality office/task chairs, this was one of the more popular brands.Of course, Hon is an excellent brand, they don't really make anything "cheap".And this particular model is outstanding... it's totally adjustable, it'll fit just about anybody.The seat is very comfortable.The armrests are a little more firm that I had expected (they are referred to as "padded" on the product description), but they do the job.All in all, this chair was an excellent buy.That may surprise you, looking at the price on this webpage, but it's really worth it.
Chairs create matted marks on even the best carpets.This protector is thick and will reliably keep your office looking sharp.Don't hesitate especially if you have new carpet.It's more than worth it.
We bought this mat (like many others) to replace a thinner one that had cracked after about one year. Initially this mat appears to be holding up pretty good -- it is not sagging under the weight of the chair rollers like the other one did. Hopefully this means it will last longer. ES Robbins claims it won't crack and has a warranty to that effect. A little time will tell.
The title says it all.I purchased three for my office and they're fine.The cushions are a little odd--they tend to wheeze a bit after someone sitting then stands.But they're comfortable and reasonably easy to assemble.Oddly, I have yet to figure out how they stack.They just don't fit together, despite many attempts from different angles.But since I never stack them, it's not a big deal.
This is a well-made, stylish chair. The only thing missing is the ability to recline. I did have some problems with a broken and a defective component in the initial shipment, but the vendor replaced these right away and was very easy to deal with and responsive. Recommended for the price point!
The chair is decent for the price. Stitch work not perfect, fabric kinda cheap, but the chair is comfortable and sturdy. Excellent customer service.

I purchased this chair from Amazon because it looked like those I had seen in stores.I would normally only buy a chair after having tested it first.This one came unassembled and it was easy to assemble. It seems to be made very well, my problem is that no matter how tight I get the bolts it still makes sounds when I get into the chair or apply weight to the arm rests.I wrote to the seller and received no reply.I still like the chair, as it is very comfortable and very nice looking. I just wish that the company would back up its product with at least a response as to how to fix the problems.
I like everything about this chair except its somewhat limited range of height adjustment (probably not a concern for most, but I use with a desk that's unusually high).
HON makes quality products. This chair arrived fully assembled and ready to use. It is rather heavy, which is a testament to the build quality. It is a replacement for one that was used in an office environment for almost 7 years.
I have always wanted an Air Grid Chair, so I decided to replace my worn out office chair with this unit.Assembly was simple, the chair looks great, but it lacks lower back support.I find myself squirming after a short time in the chair which leads me to recommend purchasing a different chair.

The chair comes unassembled but is a cinch to assemble. The images in the Internet do not give it justice. It is beautiful. I am pleased with this product.I have a lot of trouble with chairs that don't make my legs hurt because they sit too high.This chair adjusts low enough for me with short legs and I don't get pain from sitting in the chair.I took a chance ordering online without being able to sit inthe chair, but I was pleasantly suprised, the chair is also so comfortable, that I feel asleep in it sitting in front of the computer.The price is reasonable too.
I bought this chair a few days ago and just got it via UPS.
I've had three of these, and I'll be getting another. It's the only way I can protect the carpet that it sits on. I don't weigh 300 pounds, so I can't really explain why it cracks and then falls apart after eight or so months. It's expensive, but I suppose it's less expensive than a new carpet.
I'd agree that this is a very good value for the money but there were a couple annoyances.
This chair provides a very attractive home-office alternative to the typical all-black sterile office chair. It was easy to assemble and, surprisingly, looks great with my cherry desk. It is not tremendously "roomy" so if you're looking for a BIG seat, this isn't it. I am very pleased with this chair and it routinely receives compliments from visitors.
i need support in my lumbar, but i also need some support for my upper back, between shoulders. because of the lumbar support, i have to lean my upper back backwards, which causes me to sit improperly, thus creating pain.
I use chairs similar to this at work and have always liked the style.This chair is exactly what I expected it to be, but I didn't realize HOW comfortable it was until I compared it to the chair it replaced.It has very firm padding, but ergonomically it puts you in a very comfortable seating position.At the same time it doesn't form you into one seating position, so you can shift your body around some as well.Assembly time was maybe 30 minutes, and mine does have adjustable arm rests.If you find executive chairs extremely uncomfortable, then give this one a try.I'll take function over looks any day of the week!
This mat is just what i needed! The size is perfect also, allows me to roll around a little to a bookshelf behind me. My office has short utility carpet so I was concerned my chair wouldn't roll that well or the mat would crack from dimpling, but it actually works better then I hoped. Very satisfied, would recommend!
This chair is really built like the proverbial battle ship.I weigh over 300 lbs and whoop around my office with great abandon.Hasn't broken yet.Only don't buy it if you intend to throw it at anyone, you might bust a gut trying.It isn't perfect, but close enough for government work as they used to say when I was a kid.
This is a handsome chair that is also quite comfortable. The price is astoundingly low. The leather (yes, leather) is black pebble grain. The photo makes it look smoother and shinier than the actual chair. The assembly takes a bit of wrestling. Do not follow the order of assembly in the instructions. First get the back inserted in the arms, then slide in the seat and steel tube supports. Significant pressure is required to get the screw holes to line up. An assistant may be helpful.
Long-story short: for the price, this is a great knock-off of a classic chair. It is sturdy and comfortable. It is by no means the quality or pedigree of the Eames original, but frankly for the money I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

I saw many almost-identical chairs in this (or slightly lower) price range. I took a shot at this non-reviewed but nice-sounding ("comfortable") chair which seemed in the photo to have a double-pillow bottom and some other nice touches.
Purchased this one directly from Shoplet. I'm sitting in it as I write this review. It is fantastically comfortable, certainly the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in. The base and the arms are entirely aluminum as claimed. The style is superb and the assembly doesn't even require the tools shipped with it.
I bought this for my daughters room for her computer desk, she loves this chair..Its so comforable , the colors just right. its a great item I would recommend it.
I find it very irritating when the product is falsely advertised in the product description. The product description clearly states, "Black Leather Office Chair. Black Powder Coat Finished Steel Loop Arms with Padded Leather Arm Rests. Heavy Duty Steel Base with Black Powder Coat Finish"
I purchased one of these chairs at the Healthy Back store 7 months ago, and I have already had to exchange it twice. The first time, the rear wheel assembly simply broke off the frame (both wheels were still attached). The second time, a wheel continued to fall out and eventually couldn't be screwed back in. The latest chair they gave me (2 weeks ago) is already having problems: One of the pre-screwed bolts (not one that I put in during assembly) that holds the seat cushion onto the frame fell out, and another one is loose. The right-front wheel is also starting to come out by itself and won't screw back in. Granted, I weigh nearly 210#, but that's well under the supposed 280# weight limit of the chair. All I use it for is normal sitting at my desk (8+ hours at a computer). It is quite comfortable with the Tempurpedic foam knee cushion, and greatly alleviates my sciatica, but the poor durability is ridiculous. I thought I'd write this review to warn others, now that I'm looking for a replacement.
The chair arrived by yellow freight on a pallet. Very pleased with this purchase.
