Ponderosa Corner Lap Top Desk - Pine(28 x 28 x 30) Review

I needed a corner desk for my computer and this seemed to fit the bill.I do not use a laptop, but have a thin computer (I use a Mac) with a small footprint and only the mouse and keyboard attached.This desk fits nicely into a corner and is the perfect height for a working desk.It is easily assembled with each of the four legs simply having a threaded bolt in the top which is screwed directly into the underside of the desk and requires no tools.Unfortunately, my own desk arrived with the drawer incompletely assembled (the sliding mechanism on one side was completely unattached); I was able to align it and use some self-tapping screws to mount it to the drawer without difficulty, but this could be problematic if you don't have the necessary equipment or wherewithal.

The color is as represented in the photo, as is the shape and cut of the wood.The drawer is actually a keyboard drawer with a fold-down front (which seems strange on a desk designed for use with a laptop).I'm using mine to actually hold some pens and pads and the fold-down front opens a bit too easily for my taste, but that would be a plus if you're planing the keep the keyboard there.There is no specific hole for a wire to connect keyboard to computer, so that would simply have to run under the table if you store a wired keyboard in the drawer.There isn't really sufficient room in the drawer to use a mouse, so that would require the use of the desktop, which is large enough for that.I have both my keyboard and mouse on the desktop with my computer and do not have any difficulty with space or movement.

The dimensions are as documented, with each of the backs being 28 inches and the height of the desk being 30 inches, so you'll have to take that into account if your corner is somewhat small.

All in all, I'm quite pleased with the furniture, though the fact that the drawer wasn't completed was disappointing.
