EuroTech Ergo High Back Ergonomic Leather Seat With Mesh Back - LEM4ERG Review

I am only 6' tall and 170 lbs. which is usually an average height/weight.

I have both the back piece and the headrest adjustment at the max height.AND STILL the lombard support is too low and the headrest goes across hitting my shoulders when I'm upright.Not only that but the seat is at the lowest height to the ground and for correct ergonomics I need it to go 1 more inch.

I'm very disappointed.

The only thing that I can think of that would explain all of the problems is that they are sticking leather seats on the normally mesh seated chairs bringing your butt up a couple inches.This is a lot of money to spend on a chair that doesn't fit an average person correctly.

Maybe the full mesh chairs are correctly designed.Do not get his chair (mesh back and leather seat) if you are 6' or taller and if you are shorter than that you will need a footstool to bring your feet to the right level.

I've been sitting in a chair w/only 4 wheels instead of 5 for the past couple months, so my standards are not high.The appearance of this chair is fine and I did not find it difficult to put together, but after sitting in it for a few days I noticed there is a bar (probably a support) that is not very well cushioned by the seat.It hits me mid-thigh.Not terrible, but not terribly comfortable either. Haworth Zody Chair, Mesh Back Review

At my last job, I swear the chairs were from the 1980s.The Pneumatic lift no longer worked and you would sit down and slowly sink which would be disconcerting as all of a sudden you feel like you just shrunk.

I went to the local Healthy Back Store and this was recommended as an alternative to the Hermann Miller Aeron Chair.

The think I liked about it was the many different ways you can customize it -- are you tall?Move the seat out to support your legs.Short?Move it back so your knees are able to bend at the right spot.Up, down, rocking, locked, arms up, arms down, arms in or out... just about every customization you can imagine is very easily and quickly accomplished.

The seat is memory foam which I found makes a big difference in the comfort level.I tried some cheaper chairs that just had plain solid foam and they were not nearly as comfortable.There is a lumbar support piece that moves up and down which is welcome.

My only complaint is that the back doesn't go up as high as I would like.But everything else about the chair I loved.

People often asked me "so what did you have to do to get THAT chair".I told them I had to buy it!(My company was too cheap to buy us decent chairs... on the plus side, when I was laid off, I took great delight in telling everyone that no... they could NOT have my chair since it was MINE and it was going in my home office).

When you have to spend 7-9 hours per day sitting at your desk, you might as well get a chair that is going to provide you with the best ergonomic experience.The cost of this chair even with all the features was substantially cheaper than the most basic Miller chair -- and looks very similar (I just have the basic black because that's what they had available).

One final thing is if you do decide to buy a chair like this, it helps if you can try it out at someplace that specializes in ergonomic chairs because they will show you how to adjust it for your body to make sure you are getting the best settings made for you.It is like buying shoes -- it helps to have someone help you who knows how they should fit for the best level of comfort and wear.

Boss 2-Drawer Lateral File Review

The cabinet was delivered on time. It came in assembled. It was heavy to move the whole cabinet so I took the drawers out before moving it. One drawer fell totally apart when I took it out and I had to spend 15 minutes to re-assemble it in addition to the scratch of my hardwood floor. It doesn't open and close smoothly after I put in the files. Not happy with the workmanship. I never expect something would happen like this on products made in Canada.

Leather Mid Back Executive Chair Black Review

We recently bought the store brand chair from Office Max, and it was pretty sub-par for $200 + tax. It had an overpowering plastic odor, and overall it wasn't very well built. We returned it after only a few days and started to do some research on getting the most chair for our money. The smell was especially important because we didn't want our children breathing in dangerous chemicals and the comfort was key because I'm going to be working from home for a while.

In our research, we learned about Greenguard Certified furniture, which you can read more about by looking at the Greenguard Website. Basically, in order to obtain the certification the furniture must pass certain emissions tests conducted by an independent company.

At $475, I was a little dubious about buying this chair without first sitting in it, but the risk paid off tremendously as it was one of the more comfortable chairs I've sat in. The tilt is adjustable, as is the height (like nearly any chair), and the seat is firm but not overly so.

The smell is very noteworthy: It actually smells like leather. There is no plastic or chemical odor, not even right when we got it out of the packaging.

Another thing I like a lot about this chair is the sturdy construction. The base and arms are made of metal, as opposed to the plastic base found on similar chairs.

My wife is 5' 7" and it fits her body almost as though it was custom made for her. I'm a little taller at 6' 1", and it still feels very nice to me. For someone a little taller, I might recommend trying the higher back version which Amazon also sells for just a few dollars more, but I'm extremely satisfied with this one and I haven't actually tried the other one, so your miles may vary.

Overall, I'd say this was a fantastic chair, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a sturdy, comfortable, well made and perhaps slightly safer (from a chemical stand-point) office chair.

Herman Miller Reaction - Black (Fully Adjustable Model) Review

I'm a big guy, and the average $100-200 office chair lasts about an average of six months in my house before breaking irreparably.

I was skeptical about dropping as much as I did on a Herman Miller chair, but I figured with a 12 year full warranty, the chair would last me at least that long, even if I had to trade it in a few times.

Handsome High Back, Black Glove Soft Leather Executive Swivel [UE-CS-603E-BK-GG] Review

The back is not high enough for you to rest your head on unless you are 10 or you slouch. Its kinda deceiving to have what looks like a head rest when in actuallity it only pads your upper shoulders.
This chair also is narrow. Im an average build male about 210 lbs and its perfect for my size. Anyone larger, look elsewhere for your chair. the lumbar support feels good. The leather (or I think its leather) looks nice especially with the stitching which you cant see in the picture. The wrinkles in the picture also makes this chair look plush and comfier than it really is. Mine did not come with all those wrinkles. Maybe after breaking it in it or age will bring on the wrinkles. It swivels, it adjusts up and down, and reclines(but not as far as I would like where you can get a nice balance and fall asleep). My Lane fabric chair is a lot comfier than this chair and I paid about the same price @200.00. Overall, a little above average for the nice leather (or I think its leather), lumbar support and stitching.

Originally I had given this product 4 stars, of course this was less than a month after I had received it.Now, I have to give it 2.5 stars.I've had it now for 5 years.I stopped using it after 3.I don't like to buy 'disposable' furniture.Although the price of the product is great, I'd rather spend more money on something that is durable and going to last for no less than 10 years.The back of the chair is flimsy and moves around even though all of the screws are tight.The seat is also flimsy and after about a year started squeaking.If you just want a cute chair to get you through 1-2 years, get this chair!It is cute, very retro, very 'me'...but I wouldn't buy it again.

I was looking for a step stool for a busy kitchen with four children.This way the kids could reach cabinets and drawers by themselves and they could even wash their own hands before meals.I love this stool because it is so easily mobile and it doesn't scratch any cabinet surfaces when it bumps.Just be careful with little ones around two to three years old. They want to climb on the stool and be self-sufficient (the "me do it" stage) but their weight may not be enough to press down on the casters and prevent the stool from sliding around under their feet.We still use it with them, but I stand behind it to keep it from moving.

HumanScale Freedom Chair, Black Wave Fabric Review

I feel compelled to write this review, despite the fact that I bought this chair (in black leather) three years ago, because it stands out as one of the worst purchases I have ever made. I am 5'11", of medium build, and this chair is profoundly uncomfortable to sit in. The sensation is that your body is being *rejected* by the chair--pushed out of it toward the front, as if it does not want you sitting in it. Researching chairs, I was taken in by all the Freedom Chair hype--for example, how wonderful the perfectly even armrests are, which are supposed to keep your body aligned. The reality is that the armrests are attached (cheaply) with a large 'U' of metal, with only the crudest ability to adjust them. They "clunk-clunk-clunk" into 4 positions, only one of which is actually practical to use. And think about it: Any good tailor will tell you that most people's bodies are NOT perfectly symmetrical, with one arm or leg or shoulder being half an inch higher or longer than the other. Making a chair's armrest mechanism cheaply, with no ability to adjust the arms independently--and then claiming that is a superior feature to other chairs, to promote balance and harmony? That's not just cheap, it's not just pretentious, it's hogwash.

I could go on about other failings of this chair (shoddy construction, leather that puckles and wrinkles after light use of two years, arm rest panels that are separating from the frame, etc.), but I think you get the idea. Bottom line: I wince when I think of the money I wasted on this purchase. Do better than I did, don't believe the hogwash, and avoid this pretentious, poorly-designed, and obscenely overpriced chair.

Probably the best chair I've ever sat in. Extremely comfortable and great build quality. The massager isn't half bad either considering how much cushion it has to work through. I flip it on every now and then throughout the day, and my pregnant wife sits in it for hours with the massage going. It's a nice stress reliever. As listed, it does weighs 86 pounds so it's on the heavy side, but if you don't want extra weight just get a model without the massagers. I do recommend searching a used office depot store to find it cheaper, but most would agree it is worth the money for a great chair.

Have had this chair over a year now, it arrived with one of the wooden legs scratched due to shipping, but I lived with it. Assembly was easy enough. I'm still using it for my computer chair, but I sit on a pillow because the chair seat is rock hard!! The best feature of this chair is that it rocks. I have another desk chair from Walmart, that altho it doesn't rock, it's seat is definitely more comfortable & 2/3 of the price of this chair. No doubt the chair will last another couple of years before the surface begins to crack etc, til then, it was ok overall.

Not a good chair if you like to lean back.Shoulder rest height are adjustable.I have it on the heighest.I like sitting high when working on my computers.So far so good.Assembly was easy and they give you two extra screws.It's the allan key screws so make sure you put it on tight.The tension for the tilt is great, I put it on max I don't like to tilt my chair.

SeatFlex Task Chair - Black Review

Because I sit at the computer most of every day, I was having problems with office chairs that provided support and did not create excess pressure on the tailbone in different positions.I tried using a Coccyx Cushion (sold here at Amazon) but these flattened over time and had limited usefulness.I also tried the Herman Miller Celle chair.While it has a good desgn and good back support, the seats are molded plastic and have no give.They are also very expensive and the Aeron, which would probably be ideal, is more costly still.

On the other hand the SeatFlex is perfect.I have had it for months now and have had no recurrence of pain with its use.The elastic bands have good give and yet the back gives good support.If you have mid-back pains something with more back support may be preferable.But if you have very low back pain, this is a good buy.Its design is also quite attractive.It was also quite simple to assemble, although there was one screw that was somewhat stripped and could not be fully tightened.

Basyx VL504SP11 VL504 Series Mid-Back Knee-Tilt Chair with Black Leather Upholstery Review

This is a very comfortable chair. there is lumbar support & the way it is designed, it makes you sit up in a good ergonomic position. I like that the arms come out from the back because it doesn't interfere with my keyboard tray like some other arms do. They are a little low, but I don't use the arms all that often for resting so its not a problem for me.

The seat itself doesn't sink as low as I would like it to though. The lowest position for the chair is just a smidge too high for my desk. I also wish it was a little more cushy, but that is all right.

For the price this is a very good chair & I am happy that I bought it.
