I have a really bad back.Yes, I know that is the commonest complaint in the US of A, but I REALLY have a bad back (does six months in a body cast give you an idea?) Anyways, I also have to sit and work on my computer for hours at a time.Then I hobble off, back in spasm, aching and sore.So, I began looking again (note that again) to find a back friendly chair that works on a very short -only (4'9")woman.I ended up with the Alera,, and it is amazing.It can be adjusted so that I get full lumbar support.Actually, it fits the curve of my back from just below my upper shoulders to my seat. Oh, and the seat of the chair itself is molded so that my bottom doesn't get numb after hours of work.The mesh material doesn't make you sweaty. Also, you can adjust the seat back and forth so I am the correct distance from my keyboard and don't have to crane my neck (which goes into spasm with an ordinary chair.)Even the armrests are moveable. I am not only recommending this for short people.Since the seat, back and arms are all so adjustable, most people should be able to find an optimal comfortable position with this chair. I did not get the model with a separate head rest because I knew that couldn't be adjusted far enough down to support my neck.However, this chair holds me so well, there is no strain on my neck and head.If I do want to rest my head, the back tilts backwards, or so the instructions say.I haven't had the need to try that yet.

Also, the chair was delivered within a week after being ordered from an Amazon seller.What's interesting is that the seller called me the day after I ordered it to tell me about it and to see if I had questions, a nice customer relations touch.

I really love this chair.
